The Experience
Our meditation program begins where you are — not where you think you should be. The first sessions introduce a range of traditions: Vipassana-style breath awareness, loving-kindness cultivation, open-awareness practice, and body-scan techniques. You will explore several approaches before settling into the one your mind finds most natural.
Midweek sessions introduce longer sits (up to 45 minutes) and incorporate walking meditation on our coastal trail. Evening gatherings are more contemplative — dharma reading, journaling prompts, and unstructured sitting in community.
Each participant receives a personalised daily practice schedule calibrated to their experience level. Beginners are fully welcomed; experienced meditators often find that the structured container takes them deeper than solo practice allows.

Soren Nakamura
Senior Dharma Teacher, IMS-trained
Soren completed a three-year residential training at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and has led silent retreats across the Pacific. He is known for his disarming warmth and his ability to translate ancient teachings into language that lands simply and directly in the modern mind.
